This is an IPA that emphasises hop bitterness over hop fragrance. A little too far in that direction for me, but not so far as to be "wrong". And at a sneaky 7% it gets the job done nicely as well.

Cooked steak for dinner (my friends all agree - my dry rub rocks

Yuengling Black and Tan-
Color was dark, close to a garnet or deep brown. Poured a small amount of head, probably about the width of my thumb. Left almost no lacing.
Smell was somewhere in between a Guinness and any generic lager.
Had good porter flavor notes and finished like dark chocolate or coffee. Had some bitterness to it, but not enough to call it bitter by any means. Had an okay mouth feel. It was very carbonated and was kind of thin considering its porter base.

When I make them at home, yep, although I make them with Newcastle most of the time so it's more of a Black Castle than Black and Tan.
These are pre-made, though, and are a mix of Yuengling's Porter and either the Pilsner or Traditional Lager. I'm not sure which it is, and I've already taken the trash out for the day.
There's 2 of each variety. 2 bottles of the actual "Latitude48 IPA" and 2 bottles of each of the 5 varieties of hops singled out. Like listening to individual parts in a mix, then hearing the whole mix together.
I'm enjoying it immensely. I'm really surprised at how much each of the hops varies in flavor, while all retaining that bitter, hoppy goodness. I should have saved the 2 'full mix' IPAs for last.

I have a new favorite beer of all time!!
Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale (7.5% ABV, $11/6-pk). It's hoppy enough to hold the interest of an IPA fan, but there's also enough malt flavor to provide a nice balance. The only place I've seen it in my area is a local liquor store that has a great selection of craft brews. If I ever find a place that has this amber love nectar on tap, I might just stay there until I drain the keg.
