I can't get that one in my home state, but that used to be a favorite of mine back in the day. I have one that I might treat myself later from a recent trip. Mmmmmm.


I had RJ Rocker's Son of a Peach, which is a wheat beer brewed with peach. Sounds like a chick drink and I offered some to my wife since I got it as a gift. Turns out to be a decent summer beer. Slight fruit flavor, but it works.

This is the first time I have it, I was afraid of the beer being too heavy but it turns to be a slightly light beer with a nice touch of coffee and choco. My wife love the bottle design, she already put the bottles in the kitchen, this was a win-win.

Yeah, they're a mass-production brewery so their beer is going to taste that way. The only beer I can tolerate from them is their Honeymoon Ale, and that's because it was one of the first beers I had when I got back into beer drinking. I don't think I've had it for a couple years.

Anything from DFH is worth a taste, IMO. They know what they're doing. I have yet to taste Sam Adams' Cherry Wheat. Maybe this weekend when I'm looking for something new to taste.

Agreed on both counts. Don't think I'll be buying and Blue Moon again. I also recently had a DFH 90-minute IPA. That was pretty tasty. I don't think you'll be disappointed by the Cherry Wheat. :smug:

Weird. I personally think Blue Moon is one of the best beers to drink while sitting outside on a very hot night. Very smooth, refreshing, and light, but with enough flavor and body to give it a slight kick. It's one of the few 'mass-produced' beers that I'm quite fond of.

I suppose for a "mass produced" beer it's okay but at the time I didn't know anything about it so maybe I expected too much from it. My cousin brought it over and I quite happily drank it. It just doesn't hold a candle to the other stuff I had in my fridge. In hindsight, it's certainly an unfair comparison. I will also admit that if I'm outside washing the car or something, I don't always want a stronger beer and something like Blue Moon would be just fine. I am kind of a beer snob but heck, I really like Coors so go figure!

I mentioned this breifly in another thread, but if any of you get a chance try some of the beers canned by the Maui Brewing Co. They can 4 different beers, the best being the Coconut Porter. Theres also Big Swell IPA, Mana Wheat, and Bikini Blonde Lager.

If you're ever on the island of Maui I highly recommend going to the brewpub, in which you'll find about another 10 or so craft brews they make. Invalid Link Removed

Love the Coco Porter in cans, and even more so on tap at the pub.

I don't think I've wrote about this magical brew yet, but anyone who hasn't tried Big Flats should head out to their local Walgreens this instant and pick themselves up a nice 6pk for a grand total of $3. It truly is a life changing experience. And as they say, it really IS the water that makes it :D

I wonder if they stock that in the west coast Walgreens, I'll have to look!

Had a deschutes hop load yesterday that was pretty good. Definitely substantial for a "pale ale".

Sierra nevadas latest harvest ale is great as usual.

I recently saw averys maharaja double ipa is out again so I will probably pick one up tonight. I would have to say it's my favorite double ipa. Similar to a Pliny but with more hop stank.

Then there are my current staples - odells ipa and new bengiums trippel. Both excellent beers but not so much back to back. :D
