What color should I paint my Flea RW?

I don't know your skill or interest level, but I'm a new HUGE fan of the crimson guitars stains.. they have a pastel set that includes an excellent pink. You could stain it then use some Osmo 5125 (no solvents, cures in 6 hours, as easy as it can possibly get for a nice tactile finish)

Ask a thousand people and you'll get many identical replies. It's up to you.
If it were me, I wouldn't return to pink, only because it's my least favourite colour. My faves aren't yours so I won't list any. I AM a fan of the stripped down to natural and a thin coat of whatever goes on that (shellac, oil etc) with a pickguard to suit.

I would wet sand and polish, and maybe a few misted coats of nitro.

DO NOT mix paint types especially no poly. It's a nitro bass you need to use nitro to go over it. Unless you completely strip it, which is more work than it's worth with fender bodies.

What is up talkbass massive? Happy 4th to you. I recently scored a deal on a loaded flea road worn body. It was super cheap but took some work to clean and set up. The previous owner covered it in permanent marker and the only thing that took it off was some light sanding. The previous owner also gave it extra relic'ing and took off a lot of the gorgeous pink finish. He also drew on the wood with the sharpie. With some elbow grease I was able to get her back to normal somewhat, but I feel like the road worn look is pretty crazy. It feels like stolen valor. Love the bass and want to keep it, so I'm thinking a paint job is in order. It would be cool to do a light nitro coat over the pink and when it wears it will have a little pink underneath. I'm having trouble picking a good color though. Thoughts on a new color? Here are some pics of the rescue mission.
