Hard work and dedication pay off in the long run. But laziness and indifference pays off immediately.Yesterday I learned (yet again) that hard work and dedication are often rewarded with more trouble than was fixed by the hard work and dedication. I wouldn’t say I’m about to throw up my hands and tell mankind (yet again) to sod off, but the desire is strong and is so far winning the struggle between reverting to the old ways or continuing to hope the promise of a better day tomorrow is more than some smarmy, made up Hallmark sentiment.

And it usually is in my life but I’ve had an unusually odd run of late where everything I touch turns to poopie.
