What happened to you today?

But subways meat smells like dog fart and they only put a small amount on.

My local Subway smells like a convenience store, because it's in the back of a convenience store / gas station, and on the Italian BMT they actually put on more meat than the Vito.

after more than 20 years of using the same box, I still get cable company add mail and such for the former holder of my PO box.

I'm also still getting mail from the previous occupant, but luckily no catalogs.
I wish I could get Sam Ash & GC to stop sending their unwanted catalogs.

If it was boys, they could go outside, hit each other a few times, and be best friends again. Girls could do the same thing. The parents should wipe away any tears, give the kid a hug, and let them be best friends again.
Ha, yeah I picked up my five year old from Daycare last week. Had a nice goose egg on his forehead and the beginnings of a bit of a black eye. So I ask, hey man what happened? As any five year old boy he gets all wide eyed and says... Jackson hit me... I like him!... Sad thing is... I totally get it.

The Plant Manager I worked with for about 15 years left my firm in April for a similar position and a $40k bump.

Monday he texted me to ask if I would meet with him for a beer, so we got together last night.

Apparently the grass is only greener until you have to mow it. He asked for his job back.

I met with the rest of the Senior Management team today. Rob will be back with us before year end.

It was a good day.

He's lucky the team accepted/welcomed him back. He had to be a good guy and worker. In this particular case, less money means more happiness. Less is more? Go figure.

I sometimes refer to Rob as Capt America behind his back. You would be hard pressed to find a better person to work with.

Less pay, more views of the bay.

While I'm here, I've made about a hundred Amazon Prime purchases in the last two years.
Recently their delivery/schedule services have been very sloppy, such as delivering my packages on the next street over with the same address# (good neighbors) and a few items they said they delivered at my door, I never saw (based on their tracking). They said they would reimburse me back to my banking account credit card. I understand this process can be slow so I have been patient. It's been (4) days-I'll allow them (7) more working days before I start acting like a Klingon. BTW-we're talking about $58.00 total. It's worth it to me.

Great day so far!
Two of our three grand daughters here for a sleepover party...jumped out of bed to make (canned) biscuits and slow cooked sausage patties...good thing the sausage was on low,Low, LOW, as I burned the first batch o biscuits...cranked up a second set and nailed 'em.
I taught my babes about the joy of sausage biscuits with a dollop of apricot jelly on top!
All of this joy to the soundtrack of John Coletrane's "Ballads"...
(He was hardly the 'angry young sax' that some jazz writers described his as at the time.)

I received an alarming message about my father today and rushed a few hours ago to his assisted living home only to discover that he passed away. No one saw it coming, the cancer hit him hard. I am beyond davastated. I'm crying outside the home, crying in my car.

I learned to play a simple tune on my new (old) contrabassoon today. Not too bad for my 4th day with the instrument. :) Still needs a few years' worth of practice though. :D

So sorry.
