Kerry,
For great sound and sheer, portability, the Shuttle Series is very hard to beat. I've used the Shuttle 3.0 10T at Webster University, and quite liked it. I don't think you could go any lighter or more compact, and if you find that the 8T cabinet won't do, there's always the 10T extension, or a variety of other speakers from Genz Benz.

Thanks Ric,
My buddy had a ten he wasn't using.

I run this same set up! Super portable and the 10" extension cab works great for larger gigs

I've always wondered if you could buy the plate and screw that that mounts the head to the cabinet, for the combo version. That way you could switch out the cabinets and remount the head to either the 8T or the 10T. Unfortunately, then you couldn't stack the cabs on top of each other, so maybe it's not such a good thing.

My backup "combo" is an AI Focus II attached to a Wizzy 10 with a cargo strap like the one pictured below:

It works beautifully, and is of course easily removable. I'd like to eventually try the same thing with one of the Big E cabinets and the same head.

thanks, looks great.

btw, my favorite cab for upright is my 4 ohm Schroeder 12+L. It is very light and portable. It takes all 600 watts of my Genz Benz 6.0 shuttle which is typically plenty loud for small to medium gigs. It is clear and defined and sounds very natural with my current setup. Considering trying the fdeck hpf however.

Beautiful rig!
What preamp are you using?

Thanks! I've been using a Headway and I love it. I just bought a Series 4 AI Clarus 2 channel head in the hope of simplifying things even more.

Thinking about adding a crazy8 to be able to go smaller when possible and also bigger when necessary by putting it on a pole atop the 88.

Beautiful and very pragmatic.
Where did you order the handle and/or now after using it do you recommend a different one?

The handle is pretty beefy and has been working great. No slipping or any problems. The model is Penn-Elcon H1053K surface handle mount. The only thing I had to change was I needed 1 inch clearance for it so I installed taller rubber feet. I think this was about a $10-15 upgrade.
