What other brands should Fender make?

The Fender Jerkweasele ................. I like it !

I have a friend that's a graphics guy, next time I build a fender parts bass I'm going to get him to do a decal in that fender style lettering that says "Jerkweasele"

Fender should just sell their Intellectual Property rights to Apple, duh! at least they listen to consumers.

Sorta. Apple "listens" to its customers. Then it ignores them and goes and does what it wanted to do originally. Then it announces they've built the product all their users were asking for.

And their customers love it! (Those brave few that criticize go down under a rabid swarm of flesh-eating Apple fanboys and are soon cut to shreds and publicly vilified the minute they open their mouths.)

Great marketing idea. Works every time for Apple.:smug:

Let's face it, we all need to have a Fender if we ever aspire to be a real serious bass player who is not a total jerkweasle. I myself prefer a bass with a smaller body, slimmer neck, and 24 frets. I think the simplest solution for all parties involved would be for Fender to just start making other brands...
I think they really need to do this

Since Nobody likes this kinda bass, they really don't need to ! ;)

I'm planning on starting the first "Is this a real Jerkweasle" thread. I have one but the logo says "Jerkweesel" and it has the truss rod adjustment at the headstock. I think it may be fake, but I'm just not sure.

The real Jerkweasle basses have a truss rod adjustment at both ends of the neck and a spare in the control cavity(just in case). The real fake Jerkweasles only have two. The fake fake Jerkweasles only have one but it doesn't work anyway.

Fender doesn't make a bass like this but Ibanez and some other manufacturers do but they are not Fender. I don't particularly like to be wrong and if I don't have a Fender than I am wrong. If I am to be right I will get a Fender but then I won't have what I want. I think the simplest solution for all parties involved would be for Fender to just start making other brands so that people who don't want a Fender can still get a Fender but it will be a Fender that they actually want. IMHO They could(and should) start making Fender Soundgear basses for those that want them. A Soundgear with Fender on the headstock = TOTALLY AWESOME to the MAX! They could have tort control cavity covers and truss rod covers to pay homage to the more traditional Fenders. I think they would be a big hit. It wouldn't be long before people would start saying "Boy, Leo really got it right the first time with these Fender Soundgear basses!"
I think they really need to do this because I know that I for one am tired of playing basses that I like but being a loser for not playing the basses(Fender) that I am supposed to be playing.
What brands do you think Fender ought to make?

In all seriousness though, I would be ecstatic if Fender legitimately made a Peavey T-40 remake, hell if any brand made a T-40 remake, even an unknown Chinese guitar company.

So, Q.E.D. Steve Jobs was Leo Fenders illegitimate love child.

Because to be honest, substitute Fender for Apple and the comment is still pretty relevant...it only falls down when you realize that Apple doesn't have a Squier, you know a line of products that just do what they are supposed to, no frills, no Flash (you see what I did there...) and none of the unwanted features that everyone supposedly wanted...

I'm already a Squier Fanboi, I could totally be on board with an alternative line by Apple that espoused the Squier approach, just a decent product at a decent price without "that killer feature" or "this total game changer", which neither is anyways...
