+1 on all maple necks.Mustang please. Oh and more models with all maple necks.
YES YES YESInteresting thought - and I was worried that many or all would just want different colors. There've been a few of them (no offense) but I like this idea.
How about a modular bass?
Pick a body from column A
Pick a neck from column B
Pick tuners from column C
Pick Passive or Active in column D
Pick a body color from column E
Pick with or without inlays
Etc, etc, etc.
I for one would be on that like stink! Good call.
Edit: With vintage-style tuners!!!
Their top of the line is $349.00 That's high?
A 62 Fender reissue goes for $1600. I think a lot of people will be glad to pay 1K less.
My Ibanez 405 was only $450. One of the best playing/feeling basses I've ever played. Tone isn't all that great but that can be improved with better electronics.A CV Bass VI would fill a constant void in the market.
Lots of us want a VI but there is no way to get a decent one under $500. I've owned a CV P & J, both excellent instruments in every way.....a VI of that quality with a $400-$500 street price would be a winner.
I'd break my 2 bass rule to have one of those.

I'm talking about a Fender Bass VI not a 6 string bass.
