Here goes:

-24 medium jumbo frets , 34" scale, 3 piece maple headless neck w/zero fret, contoured heel, rosewood fretboard w/abalone dots
-5 strings, Steinberger (or similar) tuning system, 16.5mm spacing at the bridge
-Swamp ash body, rear routed, no pickguard, transparent black (or dark blue) finish
-2 humbucking jazz pickups, stacked volume/volume controls
-Active/Passive Preamp controls: Tone (push/pull w/treble cut in passive mode), Mids, stacked Bass/Treble (like the Nordstrand 3b-4a)

This is my main Bass, MIA Jazz bass.

I wish i could get a MIA with a rosewood board, light Swamp ash body stained nice walnut brown along with the headstock and back of neck, black pickguard and hardware!

Not that I don't love this one! :D

Since we are just dreaming and Fender won't come out with this package, could we throw in a matching Precision too? :)

Mine would be identical to the one JohnK posted. I would also get a twin with Darkstar pickups and an Audere Z3 (or Aguilar OBP-3) preamp. Maybe fretless. Sometimes when you only want one (baby), you get two. The same can apply for basses. :smug:

Although, runner up would just be a USA Lakland Joe Osborn in Inca Silver with Chi-sonic pickups.

I'm not sure of the specs, but when I get that laid out, I'm going to have Valenti build it!
There's a lot of his previous builds that constantly get me "jazzed" for a custom bass built by him.

For now, though, this will have to suffice:

A Warmoth or USACG Dinky swamp ash body, transparent brown, 70s spacing, top routed, side jack
Black 3-ply guard
Rosewood board with binding and pearloid blocks
Nordstrand NJ4
TBD on the preamp, but with Fender Jazz-style knobs

This one:

Mike Lull M4V, Swamp Ash body, Birdseye Maple Fingerboard, Lindy Fralin Pick Ups, Hipshot Ultrlite Hardware, switchable active or passive!
