What would your last ever bass purchase be?

Ugghh, well I have a lot of "dream basses" covered already. I'd say an Ibanez SR4005e, love the feel, finish, and tone of that bass. Maybe an aggressive P-bass with a jazz neck? Other than the neck, my Matt Freeman pretty much covers that in spades.

I'd buy a plane ticket to New York, hand Carl Thompson a blank check, and tell him..."Carl, when you finally retire, I want your very LAST bass."
That, my friend, it's the correct answer! To be honest, I don't know that I'll ever buy a bass again now that I have a Carl Thompson. I already have a killer active jazz, a 50s precision, a music man sterling 4H (my first serious bass), and a SICK fretless jazz, and a prefect Quantum 4. I'm pretty set.

But for the sake of argument, down the road... My crystal ball tells me I will eventually find a ric that speaks to me and sounds perfect (most likely a 4003s or a vintage 4003) and I will take it home. And I also might end up having up a modulus FU/FB to replace my musicman, Idk. But not for a long time.

I already purchased it - a 2011 MIA Pbass Blizzard Pearl to match my 2008 MIA Jazz Blizzard Pearl. I no longer have bass-gas, which is a weird (but good!) feeling. I'm actually reducing my entire collection of basses, amps, effects, etc. kind of an anti-gas...
