What would your last ever bass purchase be?

I change my mind...after jamming just now(after a month 'hiatus' with my neighbourhood band) with my 300 dollars used dolphin pro2, I really think there will be no more purchase...really enjoyed with a set of new rounds.

As far as basses go, I've owned so many and the ones I have now are incredible, sooooooo....I want the ultimate bass AMP. Lotsa tubes and a wall of speakers!THEN-I'd crank that mother up and blast a hole to DIE IN. yeah~
If money was no issue, my last bass purchase would be Fender. As in, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation 
But in keeping with the thread idea, a really nice P-bass (either a vintage Fender, or a newer Lakland). A P-bass suits me well, and it's familiar. While I sometimes gas for high-end gear (Dingwals, Alembics, Foderas, etc) I never actually played any of them, so I wouldn't want to waste my last purchase on something I may not like. Unless trading indefinitely would not violate the spirit of this thread

Well my current custom order is a Wal Mk3 5 string. I'm only about 1/2 way through the 20 month waiting process....
Sound like you need at least a couple of Trace Eliot V8 heads, then! I've still only found a V6, only way I'm selling it is if I score a V8!

I recently ordered my "dream" bass from Alembic, a fretless five-string Omega body, somewhat ending the quest. I *might* make an exception for an early Series I or a Rick Turner Model One bass.
Sounds Great. Can I ask you some specifics on your ordering/build process? I was at the Alembic factory a while back and they said it is much more cost effective to order through an authorized dealer? Any info would be great. My next purchase/build is going to be an alembic as well. Did you order the Series 2 electronics?
