Send Help on Hulu. Fun for the most part, but a bit too long. Sort of a survival thriller and not horror, despite direction by Sam Raimi.
Finished ‘Legends’ on Netflix. Solid 8. One thing that separates UK television from the schlock made here is the observation that the actors aren’t necessarily “pretty” across the pond and they can convey some semblance of credibility to their respective roles. Intelligent script, minimal reliance on repetitive indoor scenes and fewer gratuitous close ups without heft. Its like they operate on a smaller budget and spend every dime. It’s more about the story and less about how they go about telling it.
The original MASH movie. Saw it the week it came out. It helped to have a buddy with a Theatre manager for a Mom

Another B-rated sci fi from the same collection. It's a Roger Corman production, so you know the cheese is definitely of a high grade nature. Fred Eislely when on to 60s fame as the "Hawaiian Eye" and as a less than honest character on a few Dragnets.
I was thinking the same thing. I believe he meant "The Rings of Power" series on Amazon Prime, which is indeed excellent, especially season 2. Season 3 is currently filming, I believe.
Our son's spring semester just ended, so we watched this as a family last night. I love it, and he did, too.
Sean Connery's portrayal of a Russian sub commander is surpassed only by his portrayal of a Spanish immortal.
I saw Season 1, and enjoyed it for what it was. Certainly took some liberties with the property, which I expected. As a Tolkien fanatic, however, I still very much enjoyed the show. I can happily live in a universe where both types of media exist. And I can always re-read the books if the other adaptations don't do it for me! I'll have to check out Season 2 "soon". In parentheses, because "soon" has become an incredibly loose term lately! I've had far too many titles on that list, and a few have been waiting the better part of a year! So many other things get put on the list...
I really enjoyed Spinal Tap 2. It doesn't have good reviews. I don't know what people were expecting. Those three guys are always hilarious. It didn't need to happen, but it made me laugh.
