Cool project.I'm about to have a conversion done of an Epiphone Les Paul Express 22" scale guitar to bass. I did the same one over four years ago but I gave it to a member of my seniors ukulele group this week who is learning bass on a loaner that she had to give back.
I want a Les Paul look, so decided to convert another one that I bought used from Reverb for $119 out the door. I'll have Pat Wilkins paint it teal, and I just ordered a set of metallic look fret stickers. I will replace the bridge and will have Eric's Guitar eliminate the pickup switch, move the volume knob there, wiring the two pickups together, then make a chrome look pickguard and the same truss rod cover designed like the crown fret markers.
