Is this by chance a BYOG kit? Been looking at that but there aren't many reviews.I actually need a workbench! Bongo 5 string kit started Saturday. Working on a crazy ice white blue pearl finish. Once i build a workshop and spray booth it will be time for a scratch build. At that point, I'm gonna have more questions than answers!!
Thanks for the reply. I'd love to hear about your ongoing experience with the kit. Since they offer a Seymour Duncan SMB-5D upgrade, I presume that it's a drop-in replacement for the pickups. The idea occurred to me to expand the control cavity to allow room for an active preamp later, depending on how it sounds initially.INTP yes and it just came back in stock. Basswood body, maple neck. Wood is nice quality. The hardware is above average overseas. Pups are of concern. Hard to beat for the money! Good company to work with. Let me know if i can answer other ?'s for you. No idea how it will sound.

Hammer,
What did you end up going with paint equipment? Been watching the whole water based paint discussion with great interest. I really loathe the fumes and toxicity of traditional laquer, but it's a well established technology and technique. HVLP? Standard high pressure compressor? Do tell. That paint job looks fantastic, BTW.
Too Sweet!!We have a couple things laying around the bench these days.
