What's your white whale?

It's amazing how many of these are Ibanez basses.

Most of mine can be found, it's finding them at an affordable price that makes them rare.

My first bass was a Univox violin shaped bass in black and green sunburst. Every now and then I look for one and have yet to find one. Not sure I'd buy it if I found it - it's not something I need, just something I'd like to have for sentimental reasons.

Here's one item I'd like to find in good shape at a good price: A Boss Dimension C chorus pedal. They are either beat to hell or the owner wants so much money I could buy a Strymon.

Just one?! I guess mine would be a pre-Gibson Tobias, preferably a Classic. I'll never forget playing one as a new bassist at 14 at a super-high-end bass shop and loving the neck profile, complexity of the sound of the woods in the Bartolini's and the sheer beauty of Mike's basses. Unfortunately when they do pop up I never have the cash.:bawl:

One of my previous white whales was an Ibanez, the original ICB-500 with the "full regalia" binding. Hangs on my bedroom wall now. :D

Yeah man those are really cool.I had a chance to play one of thos Ashula's when they first came out.Very cool basses.MY "white whale" would probably be a Mike Browne Gnome bass, a Morch bass,or a Eugen bass. Can't find 'em to save my life.I dont know why but the Eugen bass drives me nuts.
Browne Katalox top.3 Morch 6ers.The Eugen bass I can't stop dreaming about.
