Where do we bassists work?

Dude... do you know the implications of this?? Bass playing + prosthetic limbs?

I had worked for 13 years in the fabulous field of jet heavy maintenance and refurbishment as a strategic planner and scheduler with a formerly reputable company.

Hmmm....who did you work for?? I too am in the Aerospace industry. I am an Aircraft Mechanic for UPS (A&P)....currently furloughed though Hopefully things will turn around soon so I can get back to work. UPS's Aircraft Mechanics are the only work group in contract negotians -AND- we are the only work group with furloughed employees I was hoping we would have the contract negotiated by now....but no luck yet. It's been alomst three years w/o a contract. I am assuming I have 6-12 more months of the furloughed life-style before I get recalled and/or our contract gets settled.

I am a flight nurse/paramedic on a helicopter. When I'm on duty, the crew quarters looks like a bass shop. Between flights, I am either playing or working on instruments (mine or someone else's.) I love my job.

Annoyingly I'm a software developer paying the bills and struggling to save for a new bass, instead of a full-time musician being given a new bass!
