Which monster cable

Monster is a high priced cable that is a workable option for players that have cash.
I'm a Broadcast Television Engineer and have for many years made every kind of cable you can imagine. I have also spent a great deal of time talking to cable manufacturers and Pro sound engineers. My recommendation to you is to learn to solder. Buy quality Switchcraft or Neutrik 1/4" Plugs and Belden or Conquest, USA 1 single conductor shielded cable. Mogami has good cable too. Solder the connections, crimp the wire holders and you will have a premium cable that will last a lifetime. All my musician friends say the cablesI made for them for $12.00 in parts are superior to anything on the market. Consumer cables are designed to break.

I have read several tests on cables . . . all entrants in the shootouts were very similar, nearly all were that different from the others in the test . . . and though numbers reflected different things, that difference could not be heard by the naked ear!

I have the Monster bass cable. I am also very tough on cables - stepped on them and broke them, pulled them out incorrectly, but none the less . . . broke them. And others have broken my cables.

I have gone back for a free replacement at least eight times now . . . at $50 a pop, that's $400 . . . only paid for that first one . . . see why I use Monster?

I use Monster Rock Cables and very few things last a "lifetime" I think it's great if you make your own cables but don't preach to the rest of us who care not to I just replaced a Monster Cable last month walked in and got a new one it took all of five minutes I love it and the cables are great.

A buddy of mine did a live comparison between a Mogami and a Monster cable he had.
The Mogami was much better. All of the highs rang out. I thought he was playing a different guitar.
Monster may be be a better speaker cable tho.

Monster aren't worth the money. I've owned several. I'm sorry I bought them. They don't sound any better than any other quality cable and they cost more than many. They are also uncomfortably stiff.

And they have absolutely NO strain relief. I returned one that I had bought to the company and told them if they couldn't do any better just keep it. As expected I never heard back.
