I actually asked what happened to it last week when I saw it listed, and this was what the seller replied with:
Yes, it's a sad sight to such a beautiful bass. But I've had this thing for about 11 years that has been through countless amounts of shows. The headstock damage doesn't affect the sound in the least. I wasn't initially going to sell this bass, but hard times call for it. If you wanted to get a new Birdseye maple Lakland neck it would run you more than what I'm asking. They're around $1,100 new. Let me know if you have anymore questions. This is a great bass despite its appearance.

At least in the cl add he somewhat explains with the same info he gave me. This is way too much imo for something in this condition and I'm still looking for a blocked skyline JO5/DJ5 or possibly a 55-02 if anyone wants to part ways with one
