Who's rocking two fifteens, no tweeters?

Fender Custom Shop Rumble Bass head. The cabinet is an old Peavey 215D center slot port turned sideways and "fenderized". Speakers are a pair of E-V 15BX, no tweeters.

A lot of real nice looking (and probably sounding) rigs here. These are bass amps in my book!

I'm trading for a Peavey 215-D, and picking up one of those refrigerator hand-trucks- you know, the kind with the roller belts on the back for going up stairs. I feel settled about it, though I'm going to have to get back into my workout program...

i hear you, every time i schlep that kustom two D140 2-15 into a civic hatch. just try to remember to stretch and stretch well, because if ya want That tone ya gotta grunt for it! long live real he-man bass rigs!

4 15s, 4 12s, but nary a tweeter. I have only liked a couple of the tweeters I've heard in my entire life.
By far one of the sexiest bass rigs I have ever seen! I can't even imagine how it would sound
I have a Kustom Groove Bass 2/15 cab and I turn off the horn. It's a boomer! I now use a SWR 350+ which, I have found, is a sweet head!!

My rig these days is a vintage Bassman 100 into one or two EV TL606 cabs. Some nights the weight is enough to make me wonder why.
The rig sounds great; full, articulate and never harsh. I was putting significant effort into finding a lighter alternative up until this evening. Had dinner with the leader of our group, and got clear marching orders to not change my sound. What joy! We both like my tone. I can deal with the weight issue.
I've come to realize that 15s have become a significant part of my tone. I have no need for a tweeter. The EVM-B speakers that I've got roll off around 5K, and that is plenty of HF for my use.

I wish cab makers who put tweeters on them would cross them over higher than 3.5k. If you like the 5k rolloff of 10"s, you lose it with the tweeter totally off. Sometimes I have to use a cab with a tweeter, and I'd like that extra high end back in the woofer.
