Great news!I passed an important test last night.
I went out with my wife and family. At a restaurant,
I'm good for knocking down 3 tall ones, and having an appetizer, burger and fries. Yesterday, I had 0 beers, seltzer instead, no appetizer, and a salad with a little grilled chicken.
If I could just repeat my behavior of this last week for the next six months, I can make a dent in my weight.
A frequent diet buster of mine is - beer. I like it very much.
Rather than try to reduce intake this time, I think I'm going to try to hang onto - drinking no beer at all. I think it's the only way these days for me to stay on the diet.

I save my beers for special occasions. I find myself drinking better beers, less often. Save a bunch of money too!
This too! More bang for the buck!
I can get a good buzz on 2 or 3 beers, rather than having to knock back a 12er of swill.
I'll admit I'm one of them. For those who don't know, www.loseit.com has a social feature allowing people to see each other's progress. Log your food and exercise and weigh in from time to time.

Count my fat ass in. I'd be happy 25lbs lighter and my back problems should be happier as well. I quit drinking after Thanksgiving, so that was a start.
For anyone with back injuries: What cardio do you do to keep weight off? I thought swimming was going to be the answer, so I started physical therapy in the pool, and they advised me not to swim regularly for cardio.
