Why does this anger me?

I would hit that with a vengeance if it was a bass! I think it looks awesome, and not in a bad way.

However there is something about it that angers me. It has nothing to do with zoot suits, unless there is some specific band/artist reference that I'm missing. Zoot suits were not originally those tacky bright-colored pimp costumes that frat boys and party bands wear these days. Also, the phrase "daddy-o" was a beatnik thing, nothing at all to do with zoot suits. I just hate it when people write meaningless, ignorant ad copy. The only way I can see this making sense is if it is a Cherry Poppin' Daddies sig instrument.

Anyway, I like how it looks, I'd play it.

yea, weren't zoot suits those pinstriped suits gangsters wore in the "swinging" 20s?

[EDIT]apparently not, they were what the italian mobsters wore in the 30s-40s.. so nevermind:

wikipedia said:
A zoot suit has high-waisted, wide-legged, tight-cuffed pegged trousers (Spanish: tramas), and a long coat (Spanish: carlango) with wide lapels and wide padded shoulders. Often zoot suiters wear a felt hat with a long feather (Spanish: tapa or tanda) and pointy, French-style shoes (Spanish: calcos). A young Malcolm X described the zoot suit as: "a killer-diller coat with a drape shape, reet pleats and shoulders padded like a lunatic's cell".[4] Zoot suits usually featured a watch chain dangling from the belt to the knee or below, then back to a side pocket.

For clarification to those who are confused, this is what the Gibson website says:

The body of the Zoot Suit features a brand new body built with multiple birch wood laminate pieces (each one approximately .075” thick), each dyed with a different color then compressed and bonded together to form one solid block of wood. No paint is used. Each body is given two coats of satin nitrocellulose lacquer.
