RP, did you measure them?
Yes I did. Not for TB but for little ol me.
My challenge to anyone when making claims that a manufacturers specs are not what are stated is show me the proof. No proof no truth.

Which heads did you measure the 9.0 against?Yes I did. Not for TB but for little ol me.

Can you clarify for me. (I'm a bit dense) Are you saying
the 9.0 is more, or less powerful than stated by Genz.
My personal experience is that the 9.0 is slightly more
powerful than the markbass heads at 8 ohms. The big
difference for me is the lack of top end limiting on the
9.0. It has MUCH more dynamic range.
I'd like to hear from someone who has done an A/B with a Shuttle 3.0 and a GK 800RB.i've owned the 3.0, 6.0 and demoed the 9.0 and always felt they were light on the watts. all IMHO of course![]()
Don't A/B it solo, when the song can't even tell. Play in a band! The GB is great enough...and really great at that!
Me too.I'd like to hear from someone who has done an A/B with a Shuttle 3.0 and a GK 800RB.
I think you're giving a big complement to the other amps.
I believe they are all rated 400 at 8 ohms. (I think)
Again, I find the volume just fine with the other heads,
It's the highs and lows where I hear the difference.
And I'm sure I don't play as loud as many other TB'ers.
I wish I got that from mine, Red. I run my 9.0 dimed into a 4 ohm 4x10 and it is just barely enough. You got a loud one I guess.
, however, my Eden WT400 I had at the time spanked it down low, probably due to the hi pass filtering and power delivery down there.Guy who sold 3 = dealer.

Since I joined TB, I've gone through so much gear not because I didn't like it but because I read these threads and was conviced there was something much better out there! LOL! This forum breeds the shuffling of gear.
It takes a multiplication by a factor of 10 to double the decibels of an amplifier all other things being equal which they rarely are.
Misconceptions and subjection's are bouncing all over this thread.
