Why the hate?

I totally agree. I can't say I hate any bass. There are some I like and dislike. Recently I was on a thread here and one was calling me a troll and a Fender hater after I expressed my opinion. He started off very aggressive, probably trying to highjack the post and turn it into a Fender love in. At one point I called P's limited tonally and a "crippled goat" to see if he would flip. He did. I'm gonna go and play my Precision now. Peace.

By the way, that URL is not taken. You could TOTALLY start that forum. :)

Incidentally, the Internet brings out the worst in EVERYONE, not just middle-aged men. I almost exclusively play one particular brand of bass (if you examine my avatar, you can probably figure out that brand - it's NOT the one in my signature). The club for that brand on here is rather large, and very active. Last week I said my goodbyes and turned my back on the forum, deleting my club number, etc. The constant arguing, correcting, and bickering gets SO old, and I found myself doing it, too! Jumping off the hate bus felt pretty good, and I spend 3-4 fewer hours each week on TB.com, doing more constructive things (like practicing!).
Now, I do hate me some Fumfer, but I also understand that for some reason, lots of people love those basses, and I am very cool with that. They look good on other people when they play them, and no one is forcing me to play a Fumfer, so I'm gonna live and let live.
There are SO many more interesting topics to create drama about; the brand of musical instrument is SO lame a topic to fight about.

If I ever start my own bass company it is going to be Crippled Goat Basses for sure. My first model will be the Naysayer!

Well, I have a big problem. Being from a political family I have been taught to enjoy arguing.

Who was the other poster you were referring too? Anyone I know?
