You haven't mounted the strap pins yet.All it needs now is the routing and finish.
Still weighs less than my old T-40
So you shape the body with an axe or adz to maintain the texture around the edges and you have the perfect rustic look. Seriously I like it.

It typically doesn't work, but I like to try.
Perhaps it's a good photo in good light, but it actually does look kinda like something I'd rock.

I feel like at this point I could just finish Lucifer and it would meet the criteria of this theme just as a rebirth of the dang build.

Honestly, it was more a joke of my ability to stall a build. There's no way I would feel comfortable entering it having spent almost two years on it now. It's way too far along in my mind. I mean, I literally need to cut a battery box recess, put side dots in it, sand this dang thing, put a finish on it and wire up the electronics and it would be done. That doesn't even come close to being fair to someone who actually builds a full instrument in the timeframe.
You could call it a parts build, I mean you need to put strings on it right?

I needed a break, so I'm in the backyard with my slab of tree and a spoilboard bit. Hopefully I didnt make the neighbors too angry.
It still needs some work, but what a slab. What would this be classified as? I see some spalting, but also a lot of color.

Awesome! And I hope you're in a rural area and don't have close neighbours. Otherwise you better check your car door handles for dog poop in the morning.
