Honestly, especially in Winnipeg, a wipe on finish like tru oil or minwax might be a more flexible way to go. Otherwise, I agree with @Jon Clegg auto spray, like Duplicolor from Canadian Tire is probably better. I haven't been able to get reranch for a long time, but thankfully Solo carries Oxford and Mohawk: Guitar Finishing Supplies | Solo Music Gear

So, I've been lurking these forums for the past few months, and decided it was time to sign up so I can be part of this build off!
I've got a bunch of Doug Fir beams that were salvaged from my sister's house reno that will make a nice body blank, plus some locally grown Maple neck blanks that've been seasoning for the last few years. I'll pair that with a 30" Mac Ebony fingerboard I ordered from LMII earlier in the year.
Already got the design sorted out, so I guess I'll just have to occupy myself with another build until December!

Perfect! So now we've got the "GGBO"....and the "GAGBC".....and now the GBOOAT!
Well I just got a nice Sapele body blank and a nice mahogany neck blank all ready to go.
I bought a massive amount of nice straight grained hard maple last year that needs attention, now I just need to figure out what to top it with.
I'm looking ahead to the 2023 buildoff, if that's allowed.
Get that milled into slabs and seal the ends before it starts to check. I lost a nice log of walnut by neglecting to cut it and let it dry properly
I'll use paint on the ends as soon as I get the kids in bed. I'll rough cut slabs with a chainsaw and dry it. Use a router planer on it when its dry. The mills around here want an arm and a leg to do anything.
Okay gang, as of today, we now have only three months left until the start of the Build-Off on Dec 22.

I do a sit up, every morning, right after I wake up.
Pound a coffee and a Boost, then do a brisk 20' jog to the bathroom.
Then on to squats.
I'm gonna be so buff and so ready.
I feel like frikkin Rocky over here.
