I know a guy (Wilbo Wright, really nice guy and accomplished bassist) who played in a project that was exactly that (OK it was a Honda but close enough

I'm in for 1 yes, scratch-build, 1 completion of a previous year's bass (finish and making a pickguard), and maybe building a new neck for this thing and finally finishing it.

Definite no, as I haven't moved and likely won't until March, so the comic relief watching me will have to wait another year. And I have some ginormous horn speakers to build in the interim.
However, cleaning and packing for the move I found another dozen pickups including a brand new pair of Status EMG35 HBs I bought in 04 and are still in the original wrapping. So many more ideas have popped into my peanut brain for next year. Oh, and a box with 2 dozen new sets of strings was with the pickups.

Yeah, I'm just too far along to be okay with it in my own head. Even tho the build has been sitting for a while, I literally just need to finish sanding, put a finish on it and assemble it. I can't "enter" that and feel good about it at all.
I'm still a maybe. Refuse to start a new one till I've finished the one I'm working on. Hoping to crack on with that next week so who knows. We're allowed to enter later in the competition right?
