I went out to the woodshop/garage and cleaned. And organized the dropped of wood off the pasted few months. 55 today. And I'll be doing some sanding once done cleaning up. And that spalted ash is awesome.

Winter Build off 2022 Wally Maple Nut

Ok so I'm doing the fancy wood pickup covers. I found a nice chunk of quilted maple. And me being a dingus I cut on the wrong side. So the quilt is on the sides. But they still look awesome.

Yep. My doc told me, the best way to deal with the pain is to stop breathing. I like him, he's funny.Yikes, broken ribs suck. Not much you can do for it other than complain and take it easy.
My wife said the same thing. But she isn't a doctor.
So with the kindness of @BelmontBiker I have tuners and a bridge and a pj pickup set.
Now I just need some control pots.
The first build was also build with my own wood that I harvested and donated parts. This seems to be going the same way. Kinda cool the bass building group of people. The world learn something from this Talk Bass Luthier forum. laugh, enjoy and learn.
Not a day in the past month I haven't laughed, enjoyed and learned something.

Omg, "hoarder" is a trigger word. Don't get me started. Too late.
My wife is the hoarder among us and she's not neat about it. The only thing that has prevented me from standing on the front lawn and watching the house burn to the ground with a blank stare and twitching eye is the fact that I moved all my tools into the basement from the garage and I'm trying to build a bass.
And she makes the best homemade burgers I've ever had. But that only buys so much time. We need to fix the hoarding thing.

I did the full first coat of poly on the neck last night really popped the grain in the silver maple.
Going to to a 400grt sand and 2nd coat soon.
