Another booth where the basses are more out of the way, and thus harder to photograph. So another booth where I ask if they'll help me out. The guy helping me was very patient. He kept rotating basses out of spots so that I could get some good shots.

So, remember when I said that Tony Smith's claw technique looked familiar? I thought his and Remco's were similar. I asked Tony if he had heard of Remco, and he said he had not. So I asked him if he would be down with me bringing Remco to meet him so that they could compare their techniques. He was cool with that. I talked to Remco, and Remco was cool with that.

Remco grabbed his Hammersmith jazz, and we headed down to the dungeon. Tony was cool to play, but asked Remco to play a TUNE bass, since they were in the TUNE booth. He picked one out, and they played the most amazingly epic jam. Seriously, fresh air blew through Hall E, and unicorns and leprechauns fell from the sky. However, I didn't realize I was having technical difficulties with my camera, and I didn't record it. I realized about a third of the way through, when the choir of demons appeared, and just decided to enjoy the live event as it was happening.

However, during that jam, Tony didn't really use his "claw" technique as much or as noticeably as I remembered. So I asked him to specifically show Remco that style. He complied, and Remco was really investigating what Tony was doing. Then...a new jam began, and this time my camera worked!

I thought the guys from Elegee asked me to stop by their booth earlier in this thread. I totally misunderstood that it was a request from a TB member. So, I'm at the Elegee booth asking "Who invited me?" Nobody has any clue what I'm talking about. Adding to the confusion is that it's two companies sharing a booth, Elegee and Majeste.

The Elegee designer and I had a pretty in depth discussion about his instruments and designs. He wanted honest feedback, so I told him what I liked and didn't like. I stressed that they were just my tastes, and he took it all as honest feedback.

Sorry about the confusion. That was my request for you to visit Elegee.

I really liked this next case, especially that top pocket with extra pockets inside. It was very thickly cushioned, and the bottom rubber really seemed like it would protect your bass. However, after getting all of this information about it, I asked how much it cost. Confusion ensues. I eventually figure out that this is just a prototype. It's the only one that exists. I can buy it on Sunday for $280, though.
