Winter NAMM 2018 (ultra Pic-heavy)

Next up was Julie Slick. She was playing guitar, though, not bass. That was supplied by Marco Marchera.

I just stayed for a few songs, then left. Long, grueling days, and still 2 to go! That's all for tonight.

Isn't that the Lakland bass VI she always plays? Looks like it.

Awesome thread. Thanks for putting in the time!

Nice pics -- thanks! Sorry you couldn't hang for the whole set. There's no amount of tired that could get me to leave a venue with Julie Slick on stage!

And that's a bass (Lakland Decade 6) she's playing. It's tuned E-e like a guitar, but an octave lower.

@bebass tells me to go over to AC Guitars to check out HIS new bass. A quest!

So that's Michael's bass. AC also had this:

As I left the booth I told the AC guy that I was going to go tell Michael that I dropped his bass. However, when I got back to the Genzler booth he was gone.

I met the dudes from AC at NAMM last year - drawn by the city they're from since it's my last name (and where the Clan started) - VERY personable guys and they make superb instruments. Glad to see they're back again. AC is also very active on Talkbass in the Luthier's Corner.

This is a 410. Oh yes, I know, you can only see 3 10s. However, the 4th one is inside. In their quest to make a smaller and lighter 410, their scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should. Brilliant.
