Wisdom on Prince from Gene Simmons

If by "pretend band" you mean one that toured the world for decades, sold millions and millions of albums, influenced many many individuals and, was collectively one of the biggest rock & roll influences through out the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s as well as others still to this day, than yeah.

You may, or may not, be familiar with the fact that the careers of these two acts/artists/bands pretty much ran parallel to each other. Both by time frame and global notoriety.

Granted, different styles of music and overall presentation.

If I remember correctly Prince took a bit of influence from the theatrical and marketing antics of, yep, you guessed it, Kiss. You know who plays in that band?
-Yep, that guy. You know the "one" who wears makeup and entertains the fans.

You Know that fake band? The one that for all intents and purposes is still a global icon. Much like Prince is, was and will be for at least a few generations to come.

Both sold many millions of albums and were highly involved in the production, distribution and overall marketing of said "act".

And no "Alex", the answer is not, was not and never will be, "Who is Violent J and Shaggy Too Dope?".

No, I am not a fanboy of either but they were both very realivent during my "musically formative" years.

And now, one is gone.

Use the Doctor for the mechanics but watch out for what they want to feed you. I was on high blood pressure meds for a couple of years and I started to have a palsy like shake in my left hand. After my insurance ran out I couldn't get the meds anymore and the shaking went away. Yes, Do not abuse the Rx the Doctors give. It's bad enough in the small doses. Add to that bad mixes with other things such as alcohol and you can die. Remedies do grow from the Earth. We can use these for health. That and try to love one another.

There are bad doctors for sure, but most I've found are quite excellent and will tell you the truth about the medicines they prescribe. I'm on HBP meds as well, and my doctor flat out told me that they are poison, and I am way better off modifying my behavior than staying on the meds, but until I do, I need them to not have a heart attack. He is not the only one who is honest, either. The vast majority are good people who want their patients to have long and healthy lives. I don't think it's cool to tarnish the entire profession because of a handful that are dishonest.

I didn't I said "some" I too have used medical doctors and even mentioned the mechanics thing. I'm glad they are helping you

I also said the doctors were asked I didn't say the doctors originated the thought but their bosses the ones who pay their bills do

Being an asshat in itself is not a mental illness. Or maybe you're a psychiatrist and have a actually made a thorough examination of Gene and made a diagnosis. Do tell.

By all accounts so far he got started with chronic pain issues as many have. It is a progressive disease, opiod addiction.

And, by all accounts so far, he had seen his DR the day before for tests and had reached out to a famous DR in CA just days before. The man was trying do get it under control.

This is NOT a coke or meth binge thing. Get educated.

Addiction is better, or worse if the person supplying the drugs is a doctor?

And the difference between coke, alcohol, meth, heroin, and pain killer addiction?

Please, really... educate those that seem to be misinformed.

The point is that if drugs were the reason he died, we don't know if it was abuse or the byproduct of addiction brought on by legitimate medical use. Where the line is drawn says more about us than Prince.

Yes, I think there is difference in developing a dependency on a drug prescribed for an actual medical reason. Trying to alleviate or cure a medical condition is why 95% go to a doctor.
