Yeyeye, that's just a ploy to make people buy more strings!!!!

Yep, and in my case it worked since I needed a spare set for my acoustic guitar and the promotional price fell within what I'm willing to pay. But I ended up buying an extra set for my electric guitar at the same time, which I'll probably put on in a few months.

I don't even remember the world having strings..... I must have been taking a nap in 4th grade.
Seriously, folks...... I would love to be able to track how many people actually changed their strings, but more than that, how much more $$ the string manufacturers made as a result of this not-so-all-important day.

D'Addario says today (June 6th) is World String Change Day.

I was a week a head swapping out sets of rounds for two basses. I go through a set about every. 75-100 hours of use. The last time I bought D’Addario’s was when they were on clearance 3 sets for $25.

All of my strings have been changed within the last four months. I’ll wait until next year… putting a reminder in my calendar.
