You got it.
We had a drummer, a Soprano Sax, an extra keyboard and extra guitartist this sunday.... Those guys apparently play together regularly, so I was just trying to keep up.... but was a great service...

Anyone in Mpls/St Paul interested.....
I'll be playing at Ginko's (Invalid Link Removed)
721 N. Snelling Ave.
St. Paul
9pm
This Saturday with Fuller Still (Link Removed) as the superfluous 5th member...we'll play some of fuller Still's originals, and will cover another artists entire album. What album will we choose? Who knows? We sure dont know? Come and find out.... It may or may not have been written in the 60's, Bob Robert.
Hey, guys, I might not be on TB for much longer. I just wanted to shout out and let you all know that God loves you and I love you.

My favorite song to play at church is a tossup between Blessed Be your Name and Salvation Is Here. My current setup is my OLP MusicMan 5 through the last bass players old Yamaha combo. I'm looking to fix my other OLP 5 and work as much as possible to get better gear because I want to have the best gear when I play for God.
I love playing "No Sweeter Name", "Indescribable", "Thank you for Hearing Me", "Make A Joyful Noise", "Majesty", "No One Like You", "Hungry-Falling on my Knees", "Everything", "Can Not Hide My Love", "You are Good", "My Glorious", "Angus Dei", "Share the Well", "One Way", "Wonderful Cross", "Not To Us", "Wonderful Maker", "Everything that Has Breath", "Nothing But the Blood", "Let The Praises Ring", "Beautiful One", "Wonderful Maker"... and on and on...All for His Glory!
Hey, guys and gals, don't forget that Jive has started a Worship Bassists forum over at his site.
The link is in my signature.
Come over there too, and let's get that forum off the ground.![]()
Hey, great to have found this thread. Haven't read all the posts yet, but thought I'd say hi from New Zealand. I'm worship leader and sometime bass player in a small suburban Presbyterian church. Bass is my main instrument, but as we have only a small music team I mostly find myself playing keys or acoustic guitar. Especially so since we haven't had a drummer for some time, so I need to use keys or guitar to lock in the groove (Any drummers out there want to move to New Zealand?). Anybody else had similar experiences with small bands, no drummer ... ?
Favourite songs ... lots, but to pick a few - How Deep the Father's Love (love that 5/4 time sig!), The Heart of Worship, Your Love is Amazing (Hallelujah).
