this is me playing my thunderbird - (sold and gone now! - thanks be to jesus!)

We meet in our local civic hall 4 times a year for a interchurch worship event

Its really cool to have loads of different churches praising God under one roof!

Last night our band was asked to play at a fundraising event for a young girl who is leaving our town to work for youth for christ - was a cool night and was really fun

The set we played was

Rain down
All we have is yours
Forever - How great thou art - Because of you
Holy moment
Shepherd of my thankful heart

was a great night and a real privelage to be the final band on the bill.

My current equipment for Praising Him are as follows:

-Peavey Cirrus 5 Bubinga/Walnut
-Warwick Thumb 5 Bolt On with EMG 3-band preamp w/variable mid
-Euphonic Audio Micro 300+Wizzy 10+ Schroeder Mini 10+L

If I had to choose favorites among the songs that we've done, I'd say:

- "He's Worthy" by Youthful Praise
- "We're Blessed" by Fred Hammond
-"Awesome God" by Youthful Praise
- "Sing Unto The Lord" by Joe Pace

Some of my personal favorites that we have not performed yet are:

-"High Praise" by The Annointed Pace Sisters
-"My Hope" by Edward Buckley & Unity In Spirit

I’ve played bass for a while in the worship service - I play a Fender Deluxe Jazz. The worship leader plays acoustic & allowed me complete creative control over what I played – very nice. However, he is leaving at the end of this month and is being replaced by a pianist who has given ALL of the instrumentalists and vocalists the month off in September – I predict major changes from him - oh well, it was good while it lasted…

Just about everything from Paul Baloche and Chris Tomlin is worth exploring.

Dude that sounds nuts!

We have recently had a big shift in our worship group - its been really tough on Sunday services, same thing happened to us we were a simple 3 piece (guitar, bass, drums) and 3 singers and now we have an ex worship leader - who is a Dramatic operatic pianist ,its crazy hard to play like we used to, we used to just have fun and just go with the presence of God - but now its a much tigher ship! it feels from my point of view that the piano makes the songs so much more tighter in a bad way and it feels like the songs have alot less momentum!

I just keep reminding myself that Worship aint about me its about Jesus - if you keep that in mind, it`ll really help!

I'm a member of the Oakland Baptist praise team. It's my second praise team, and I am now helping out with a youth praise band. I currently play a G&L semi-hollow Asat, but have gone from a Marcus Miller to a Ric and everything in between. The G&L seems to be doing fine. I would really like to get a vintage P or maybe even a custom shop re-issue. My absolute favorite has to be My Redeemer Lives, followed closely by All things are possible.

I haven't played regularly on Sunday mornings for a while now mainly because of a few years of usually playing every Sunday morning.

as for rigs though, my main bass of late has been my Mollerup 5 and/or SR5 HH//Bongo5 HH. for amps, usually just use what's at the church with some Aguilar DB924 augmentation or my PJB BassBuddy.

Favourite tunes.... tough one, "The River" by Brian Doerksen[my main gig] is a fun one, kinda Country with just a sweet feel, of course most of Delirious' stuff is fun, as for new stuff, my buddy Luke Nielsen has written some great tunes that usually kick it pretty good.

I've been playing at my church for just over 6 years.

I ran into the guitar player at this church one day, someone I'd known from my gigging bar band days, he asked me to check it out and I've been playing, and more importantly, growing in my faith since.

Gear is always changing, currently playing a Bossa OBJ-5 through an Eden Time Traveller and Avatar 1x12.

Some of my favorites are 'Sweeter' & 'You Are Good' by Israel Houghton and we've recently learned several Chris Tomlin songs that are great.
