I got up on all the TB hype a couple of years ago. This pedal scoops out your mids if you engage the Blend knob anywhere above 20%, but at a blend setting this low it's almost just acting as a DI without any of the fake 'tubey goodness'.
Almost everything in this statement is false.
Sure it scoops the mids if you set it that way ... but I have no trouble getting mids out the butt.
The EQ still functions even with the blend at minimum.
Ever tried reading the manual?
I felt this way at first as well. I like the overdrive from other sources, but I have gotten great DI tone using the BDDI. The blend is EVERYTHING.
I really like the hardwire cm-2.
