Thank you gentlemen! I'll maybe be picking one up after the holidays. I am just wanting to get a feel for it at the medium higher stages. Most everyone on here has talked about the UD as a low drive.

I feel like this pedal is the answer to those folks who like the drive of their Pork Loin but complain about its lack of highs.
Just ordered one, should be here by Friday!! 
Going to try it solo, then try it driving my other dirt with it.

Sounds like it could be worth a try then, I almost liked the Pork Loin but returned it because I thought it had a bit of wet blanket over the sound.
I was the same way with the pork loin.. this thread keeps popping up and it's got me more interested.

"Dark" is the Pork Loin's thing and one reason I dig it. The Ultimate Drive can get close with the tone all the way down.
While I agree that the Pork Loin is "dark" by itself I find it sits in the mix beautifully and adds a fullness that is definitely missing in the UD. I've been using the two side-by-side and it's very noticeable when I go to the UD how much "oomph" is lost. The Pork Loin is an almost always on pedal for me now. I will stick with the UD for it's mid grind though.
I haven't used the M89 but I believe there are a few threads on here about the similarities/differences.
Similar, but If I remember correctly the M89 is a little bit "rawer" and has more drive than the Pork Loin, and maybe not quite as dark. I found it to almost lean a bit more towards a distortion than an overdrive. I have the M89 but never use it, could unfortunately not return it to the online store.
If you want cheap, I've had pretty good success using a Danelectro Transparent OD and many have said it's fairly close in tone to a Timmy od.
