Xotic vs Shadowsky vs Marleaux

If you care about what the other blues players will think of you based on your choice of bass, that Marleaux probably wouldn't be a good choice. Not traditional looking at all...
I've seen every kind of bass used in Blues bands. Play what makes you happy. I play in Blues bands and use Lakland and Lull basses.

Never tried the Marleaux (which is gorgeous by the way), but between Sadowsky and Xotic, I'd rather get a Sad any day of the week IMO.
Anyway, if you're looking to buy new and not necessarily want a natural finish, check this site out:
