Yamaha Peter Hook Signature Bass

Any news on your bass?

Also, can anyone confirm what wood the fretboard is made of? Specs say it's rosewood but it looks dark and almost like ebony in some of the pictures I've seen.

It's Rosewood.

Mine looks lighter than rosewood, actually.

Anyone know if there are anymore plans for Yamaha to make anymore or is this really just a limited edition bass?
Back in spring Peter Hook said something about a potential second run on an Instagram live chat, but there has been no further updates on that since. Given that it's been over a year now since initial release, I think it's unlikely there will be another run.

How many were made? 300?

I can't believe one made it to a store in my city and sat there for 8 months, before I went to pick up an OC-5 and came back with a new bass.

Almost makes me want to trade it with a real Hooky fan.

From the beginning i've always seen a lot of bbph availability in italy. Bbph were never available at retail in usa. They were all purchased before the retailers received stock. Sweetwater never took pictures and posted their allocation.
I first called sweetwater and guitar center to buy one after the announcement but sweetwater were all sold and guitar center later cancelled my order. I bought one from music zoo and i could've bought two but didn't want to be greedy. this is what i've been able to surmise by calling retailers directly.
yamaha says 14 in usa
sweetwater 4
guitar center 6
music zoo at least 2
zzounds 1
