IDK if I posted this one or not (apologies if I did) but when you go on a cruise for a week, and have to leave your bass at home..the first thing you go find is the bass player and their basses..and all thru the cruise you go to each "club" they have on board and watch the bass players only! *which is what I did too!

when you go up to said cables and actualy try to see wht note they give you when you hit it. then you go to other closer ones to see if you can get a few workable tones in a small area.

came across this guy during some part time work I did in a powerstation...he was this bass player with a party trick of being able to play the national anthem on the steam turbine blades when they had the thing open for maintenance :|

when your at work and construct an acoustic rubbber band bass out of raw materials and packing tape....and tune the rubber bands by twisting paper clips....only problem is the rubber bands break after too many slides on the neck...but it makes work a hell of alot more fun!!..it gives off a banjo like sound....heres a couple of pics..
