I have been gassing to build something Sonic Blue for a good while. Debating going back route/no pick guard vs. traditional.

The real hangup is a neck. I want an old school fat P neck w/rosewood but finding one not off of an AVRI is being a challenge. Any suggestions on a different source that is easy to find and more affordable would be appreciated. May have to compromise and go Maple which would not be a bad thing either!

The only thing I wanted for Christmas, the GK Plex pedal, has been pushed back into next year, so I'm cool this year. I need to get some projects finished, like the 5-string Telecaster bass and the fretless Jazz with a 25-yr-old Warmoth neck boarded with ebony-- soooo smooth!-- needs to speak again too-- so I guess all I need is yet another thirty-gallon drum of spare time--
