That's what I'm doing with my Stiletto (a bass I've owned for almost three years now) and the pre/pup upgrade quest.is it weird to obsess about a bass you already own?
Warwicks! Nothing new there as I've been obsessed with them for some time now, but it's been especially active as of late. Just got a Streamer Stage II a couple of weeks ago (my all-time dream bass!), and I've got a 5 string Flamin Blonde LTD Thumb on the way, which will be my 9th Warwick in a year and a half! I know the SS2 is a definite keeper, and I'm hoping the Flamin Blonde is the same, so then I can find a new obsession!
Although not as high, amps have recently become a new obsession as well. Can't afford a new one at the moment, but I've been doing a lot of research and trying to find the best setup for my desire so when I have the funds, I can get it.

Let's hear 'em! As this is the Basses sub-forum let's keep it bass related, cool?
Personally, I've really been into nice tops recently. I've always liked the look but it's gotten to the point where I want to sell all my basses that don't have them despite them being pretty sweet, lol.
Second up would have to be 34" scale. I never really cared before but now I've just got this idea in my head that I absolutely need uniformity of scale between my basses even though I've played played and loved a bunch of 35" scale basses out there. I feel just a tad dumb for it but I don't think I've missed out of anything just yet.
Edit: I created the thread with the idea being around bass features, not basses themselves. So what aspects about particular basses are you really digging right now? In other words, let's avoid "I want x bass!" I think we've all seen enough of that, lol!
Obsession for nice tops? Here's my Jerzy Drozd Obsession Excellency with a pretty nice top.
