Few themes have ever played ear worm for me longer than "Can't Let Go" which was used for the theme of Bosch. It's a haunting piece of music.
I hummed and mumbled this for days. Incredibly cool piece and perfect for the series.
Failing that. either the opening to "Have Gun Will Travel" or the original Star Trek theme.

Agreed, it had that film noir "Slaughter On Tenth Avenue", "Town Without Pity" vibe to it.

Certainly not my "favorite" ...in fact, I barely recall ever seeing/hearing this when the show was originally televised, I only became aware of it when "Family Guy" did a parody! -- but fwiw I've come to appreciate the theme from the Marlo Thomas sitcom "That Girl" as the platonic ideal of 1960s pop music.
Speaking of 60s television girls in the big city -
I wasn't there, in time nor space, when Take Three Girls aired on the Beeb, but its theme song, Pentangle's "Light Flight", at the same time is delightfully evocative, and totally rocks (or, uh, folks? jazzes?) :

Barney Miller is probably the best theme song ever. One of my favorites that gets sadly overlooked is Home To Emily from the Bob Newhart Show…
Pretty much anything from the 70s. There are so many I love from that era.
Having played and seen the bass world evolve over the years. My biggest concern is the loss of great bass lines. Look at the 60-70s TV theme bass line that were so melodic, well crafted and catchy. That even the average guy on the street could hum it back to you. As were bass lines like “Come and Get Your Love.” That bass line is the song, while remaking a bass.
Personally I feel the bass needs to come back from this illusion that it’s half timbale drum and get the melodic/rhythmic back on the front page. To me Joe Dart is a well crated, season bass player, who is as funky as they come. He’s cutting edge, yet he sticks to the fundamental purpose of the bass.
He glories in the bass, not it’s effects.
I hope I can play as good as Joe when I grow up.
At 73, I’m giving it a shot.

Hawaii 5-0 and The Monkees are my favorites. The Ventures original version of the 5-0 theme is excellent.

I actually like the theme from the original TV series, 'Wild, Wild West'.
Gotta be one of the best pieces ever written, especially for a band that likes to pass solos around. A good jazz group can make that one last for (at least) 10 minutes.
