Your favourite bass pre-amp???

+1 for the 3Leaf Enabler. It is so transparent that you can put 2-3 other preamps before it 
It is also my second favourite headphone amp.
+100 for the PJB Bass buddy. The only reason I am letting my PJB Briefcase with built-in Bass Buddy go is because I got the Suitcase. Not only are they GREAT preamps but they are also my favourite headphone amp.

my fav right now is the tone hammer into the RBI.
I use the TH for top end & mids, the RBI for low end & beef.
I've used a lot on that list and somehow settled into this combo.
having the two together seems to give me enough routing options so I can send signals to monitor desk, FOH, amp, effects units, tuner, and whatever else.

I've been using a Rusty Box, but I don't run it in the fx loop of my amp. I use the main out into the normal input because I love the sound of it, but it isn't the most bottom-heavy preamp. I use my amp's onboard eq and low pass filter to add a little bass back in while keeping the cutting mids and clanky metallic highs that the rusty gives me. I cut through my bands mix like a knife and still shake the walls.
Darkglass Vintage Deluxe. I had a BDDI, and it sounded good, but I wasn't particularly happy with the way that it played with other dirt pedals. As a stand alone, great. But the Vintage Deluxe is amazing! Nice gritty OD tone with succulent tubey goodness. I could get a great tone almost out of box. A little tweaking and it was golden.
I use two and I'm very happy. Jule Monique for the clean channel and Verellen Meatsmoke for the gain channel (with the REDDI for the PA).
i hate to admit it, but a sansamp BDDI, while annoying when you are playing bass alone, is usually very good when i play with my rock band.
i also have a rusty box which i only like at low settings. still not as good as a BDDI in a rock band context

Wow, I guess I need to read up on the lack of love for the BDDI around here.
I just discovered the PBDDI and I love it. It could use a midrange control but I'm probably putting my TH on the market I love it so much

Ok, I am going to try that one. I'm all about rack gear.
I am hoping somebody does. Can't afford it now, but, I am thinking, either end of the year or early next year, I will get a Preamp/Power amp setup. This might be it.
