Your Gig Rig

How are you liking the Eden E series cab? I can't seem to find much feedback on them. They sell for a great price as I'm sure you know.

I've never had the possibility to compare them head to head to the D series, which I truly love. But the E410XST is really strong in the bass, very accentuated in the mids and the HF driver adds the extra sparkle. I even got a better price for a brand new one, and I just had to buy it. ;-) I also play an Eden WT 550 through that cab which sounds very sweet as well. But to be honest, the SVT sounds better through it than with any Ampeg 410 I've ever used/heard.

In the last month I've been on a mission to upgrade my rig. First I did a lot of research and based on the gigs I've played in the past decided on a Greenboy Fearless F112 cab pushed by a Carvin BX1600.

I expect to add other items in time including a MarkBass Jeff berlin sig combo.

Update:

The MarkBass Berlin sig combo landed this past week. Loving the tone out of this thing!

Was notified that my Greenboy F112 is finished and should ship Monday (weather permitting). In addition, I dropped the order for the Carvin BX1600 today.

Color me excited!!!

I'd still like to add a few more pieces, namely a Peavey miniMEGA head (if Peavey ever makes them available) and a BBE B-Max preamp with a Carvin HD3000 power amp.

Totally unintentional that it's all Carvin. Started with the bass. Wanted a 2x15 dually substitute, and for 250 bucks the LS2153 is an unbelievable deal. Found the B2000 on Craigslist for 400. Love this rig so much, and I can't believe how inexpensive it was.

My new gig rig, Fender Rumble v3 500 Combo on top of their new 210 cabinet. The two Jazz basses are mine, the red short scale Dean is my 8 year old son's bass. Apartment living doesn't lend itself to cranking up the volume, but I'm hoping to put this setup though it's paces at a jam session very soon.

My only complaint is that my band isn't successful enough to justify rocking my Acoustic 371 or my 4x15 cab that's intended to go with this head.

I have other gear, but usually use my GK MB Fusion 500 head. Avatar B212 Neo or a pair of Genz Benz Focus 115s. If using in ear monitors I will just use one of the Focus cabs for some "feel".

Saturday I played this (Stageclix Jack into VMT, Pitchblack and Empress Comp. The VT did basically nothing, never was on. Backup).

into this (HK Bass Master into Fx-Return of the AI Clarus 2r). Good tubey sound. I just love the Bass Master. Please HK, make this a full tube preamp with more controls.
