Would you play in a band that told you, no shorts when you perform with us,we do 4k shows, your in but you have to wear long pants and dress appoved by us?

BTW, While I am 56, you will never see me with a woman anywhere near my age. It's just not my thing.

Hmmm I guess this is off topic, but yes, like many older guys I prefer to and do date younger women. Is that wrong?

Not a thing wrong with it ...

I dated this lady for two years, and age was never a factor, she is however older than me by a little over a year, she is 58 as of this picture and is still performing regularly as a dancer.

Depends on the time of year, in summer it tends to be shorts and a sleeveless top, sometimes a check shirt, In winter jeans and a band top usually, the nice casual look.

It's occurred to me that another thing I often wear on stage is a fake smile, fake enthusiasm, or fake angst. Depends on what I'm playing! If I don't wear fake fun, I'll start showing the expression I make when I'm really having fun, which looks like total boredom. It's easy to forget to emote, especially when I'm having fun.

(Of course, when it looks like I'm /really really/ having fun, it means something is going terribly wrong on stage.)

For orchestra, a white Oxford with black tie, and slacks. For Jazz Band, a black tux shirt, and the same slacks. Of course, black belt, black socks, and black shoes for both.

Shorts all the way. I wear long pants almost exclusively for school functions, and that's my black slacks.

you took my post too serious... lol ...or just misunderstood.

Of course i would i'd be stupid to pass up the opportunity. That being said... i envision my first "gig" not being that serious. but given the choice... shorts.

My job requires that i wear pants and i abide ... the gig you described i would imagine comes with a paycheck... i'd treat it the same.

but the title say's YOUR look on stage... and MY look is shorts... am i absolutely married to it... no

Cool, and for all you cats and kitties under 25, if your in shape you probably look great wearing just about anything.
