Hi guys just got a zoom b2 and think its a awesome little unit , never play around with effects b4 .still playing around with it but unable to work out how to save a volume settings on different patchs esp. for a clean patch or in bypass mode they seen to be alot more quiter than other patches would like them to have the same volume settings if possible can anyone help thanks

Have you tried setting the dial to 'CONTROL' and/or 'PLAY' settings and adjusting the '3LEVEL' knob?

Thanks for the reply, worked it out make up the patch, then as you said then choose the volume I want and hold edit button again and save volume setting got all patches about same level now sweet as thanks

Finally got some time to program my new (to me) B9. Not nearly as intimidating as I thought it would be! Very easy to dial up tones, rename, and store where I want it. I decided to eschew the editor/library software and get hands on with it in case I need to make a change mid-gig. I'll gig test it this week.

Perhaps this is best for the patch thread, but I will ask anyway. The only thing preventing me from pulling my Line 6 M5 off my board for my Zoom is the octal verb setting on the M5. It is basically a reproduction of the shimmer mode on the Strymon Blue Sky. I use this setting for song transitions and gentle chording. I see my Zoom has the pitch delay, but is there trick to keeping it focused on a single octave above the note being played? Thanks.

I haven't tried this but you can set where the pitch sweep starts and finishes. You could try setting both to the same spot and see what happens.

Thanks. I was able to get the same sound my tweaking a preset on the POG2 and running it into my reverb pedal. Duh Zach....

So my trial by fire with the B9 was a great success EXCEPT my distortion patch. Was using the ODB3 preamp but my sound guy said it was blah (even after eq and leveling). Any suggestions on a killer OD patch? (I'm going for a ripping all purpose dist/fuzz. Think Hysteria or a 311ish (sick tight) kinda sound). I'm open to anything!

The only Zoom fuzz I can even stand to use on bass is the fuzz face model and i sometimes overdrive the bassman or acoustic models.

Earlier on, I used to give a number to every poster who mentioned having a Zoom device regardless of whether they asked for it, but now I think that looks a bit like I'm trying to inflate the membership size of the club, so now I only give numbers when someone asks for them

I have a B3 that should be here within the next few days. I would like to use my sansamp bddi as a preamp for my set up and have the zoom for effects. I like the sansamp + the pf500 tone and just want it enhanced every once in a while.

I'm assuming this frees up 3 pedal positions on the zoom...or is the 3rd reserved for amp mods?

I am thinking about getting one as soon as they come available over here.

Won't speak for them, but so far it's working very well for me. Couple of learning curve kinks to work out, but I used it at a gig within hours of receiving it in the mail, and it sounded great. I'm not a digital fan, but they did a great job with these bass effects, especially the preamps and amp models. I actually like their BB Preamp better than the original.

Any effect can be assigned to any of the positions. You could have the same effect in each position and have a different setting on each one.
