Ive just listed a BNIB Greathammer here. Opened only for the photo. Bought it, never even opened the box, bought the OG here later. One must go.

I’m in the camp of loving the just a nut, since I like to change string gages and tunings a lot. I ended up buying a handful of the screws from Warwick with different sized slots, as well as slotting a couple for my specific needs. The shipping was way more than the scews.

Candy Apple Red gets me every time. It looks great on every single Fender model.

I also had a Hammersmith Badass style aluminum bridge and took it off. I liked it a little better than the Hipshot, but I don’t dig what happens to the sound with them. I don’t want to say it weakens it, but I thought they were pretty polite sounding.

But people do seem to like those Babicz bridges, though I’ve never tried one.

The true meaning of my question was, "Who else DOESN'T CARE if the neck changes back and forth, and simply adjusts, ignoring the truss rod?"
But I don't mind that the thread went in different directions!

But yeah - he’s a real nerd and I love it. Honestly makes me better at my job on a daily and I appreciate his attention to detail.

I know this is a 2 year old post. I wanted to close it out. But, I never found my Bongo. All of my own searching found nothing. I still believe that there are a bunch of good people in this world. Then there are the "not so good". Thanks for all the kind words over the years, I appreciate it. I've since moved on and continue to play my other 6s. Keep an eye on your "stuff".

I have the SR 505 that I really like, but I think I’m getting an upgrade and a lighter Bass with the EHB605 picked out the blue one.

I contacted Fender today. Vintage 70's bridges are fitted with 6-32 x 7/16. I already ordered some 6-32 5/16 screws, but they were too wide. I believe that it's the sellers fault, rather than measurements being wrong.

I've reordered some 6-32 5/16 from Accu, so hopefully these will fit

Been using it for 13+ yrs. I've had a few issues importing in the early days, but not for years. I don't use any of their fancy stuff. Syncing has never worked (just backup and import). The big advantage for me is for church. Many songs require key changes based on whom the WL is that week. OnSong supports changing keys seamlessly. Which version were you using? 2020 or 2026?

You need a fender washer.....seriously, that's what they are called! It's a washer with a smaller hole. Try to find one with the best closest matching overall diameter. If the center hole is too small, just drill it out........

Anytime I need an oddball screw, washer or part (usually more for when I am doing vintage drum restorations), I go to Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH, but they closed the near me!) or Ace True Value. Spend a few minutes and most likely you'll find the item or something close.

It looks like somebody is sending you one but what is the outside diameter of the washer in question?

When in doubt, Dremel!!! I have a router adapter for it, too. As for shooting it with F.Red, I would just dab it with some paint and call it a day. Nobody will see it......

I installed a .047 orange drop and it took the edge off the string sound. I’ll play with it and see if I want to change the tone port as well.

In that case my first choice would probably be the Hipshot single string bridges or, possibly, one of the less expensive alternates. They’re a bit more fiddly to install correctly but you can set the string spacing you want. You might check the string spacing on the other bridges listed to see if it’s something you can work with.

BOOTZILLAS were made from German stainless. and you cant buy nickle lo's direct for some reason.

Shim the neck. I had to do it to mine.

GAS is for resting my aching, aging fingers between practice sessions. I angle the screen away from the bed so the bass I'm currently playing cannot see that I'm thinking of cheating on it.

Maybe even array in front set up like side monitors

For bands wanting old school stage volume as opposed to IEM: High quality monitors and mix work

I prefer IEM but one Festival our band played they had Top Notch sound team with excellent powered monitors for each of us

Mine had full mix with Bass slightly elevated: was excellent experience

Maybe try a set bas on a 90 E? They sell singles of alllll different sizes. That said it depends on the bass.

Just as an FYI... I posted this strictly to be informational, not because I particularly agree or disagree with anything being posted there. I just don't really ever see Talkbass mentioned anywhere (except here at Talkbass), and I found people's perception of it somewhat interesting.
Also, I had meant the title of my post to be longer and more detailed but accidentally hit the enter button early and didn't notice--sorry 'bout that...
