I've been gigging the Reidmar 250 for more than 5 years. Great amp. Plenty of power (for me). It sounds like EBS, though. Aggies are different. More "vintage" tone to my ears. I hear the Reidmar as being more neutral. Great EQ section.

I just got a 2x10 micro stack. I play 4-string. The low E sounds authoritative and fine. The weight is mind-blowing. The Elf amp has got that TE tone. No gigs on it yet :)

The Sound City Bass 150 was my favorite amp ever. Tone-wise. Not so much weight-wise. From the lowest volume small gigs to bigger rooms, it never failed to sound less than excellent. Warm, fat, rich, clear. I just couldn't lug it around anymore. If someone could put that sound in a small amp...

Let's just say I disagree. I think a 600-watt amp should be quite capable of driving a couple of cabs. And my knickers are fine. Thanks for your concern :-)

Ok. What am I missing? The 300 and the 600 amps have only one speakon connector. The speakers have only one speakon connector. Really? I'm going to build a rig with two bins and one speakon and one quarter-inch speaker cable? At least the photos on MF indicate this. Maybe I'm overlooking...

Rat fur puts equipment on my automatic DO NOT BUY list. I have enough of it -- and the Trace stuff is pretty good as far as that goes. Which is not far.

I have rehearsed for many years on a B100-II and I love it. I think the only difference is the preamp section. The III has the parametric eq. It's a good, practical, reliable, toneful amp. I'd call it a "real" 100 watts. I'd say clean it up. It's probably worth about $150-$200 in good shape. As...
