From reading all of these replies i feel like everyone wants to pick the bongo but doesn't because of the body shape. That's damn shame.

I'm looking to replace my J-bass's pickups. I'm looking for something with a middy crunch. Active or passive. A sort of Musicman ish tone. But being able to focus on the neck pickup to get a warm round tone. Anybody have any experience or recommendations for this kind of pickup?
