    Club Fbass (thread 13)

Hey guys, there have been a few questions regarding instrument weight and Aguilar pickups in our VFs... Weight: With most BN5s and VF5s we typically aim for 9.75 lbs. We feel it's the ideal weight for comfort while still retaining that big punchy tone with long even sustain and midrange...

    Club Fbass (thread 12)

Our BN necks are a slightly flattened V shape with no bulky shoulders. We found this to be the perfect carve for comfort, tone, and speed. The profile is thin/medium. Our VF necks are typically the same but they have just a little more shoulder mass and are more of a medium carve. That being...

Maple provides a rich midrange and a bit less of that tight bottom end...it also has high end presence and a snappy attack.

You guys just made me drool over Buckeye and Cocobolo. Quit GAS'ing me - parts and materials ain't cheap. I've passed along all of the birthday wishes to George and he is ever grateful! He's been on a much needed vacation and has been without an internet connection for some time. He's due...

What a great community on talkbass eh. We were discussing the VF trade possibility not days ago and here she be in the flesh...well, e-flesh. Hope she serves you as well as your BN Phil. ....and more importantly, congratulations on the expected little one! Our latest straps are now a...

Hey guys, Asian Ebony sits right in between Rosewood and Mac Ebony. It's a little warmer sounding than Mac which has more of a "hi-fi" high end and it's clarity and natural volume are a step above Rosewood's.

^ pm'd Didn't plan to post so many photos, but I was just sent this photo of Jory Kinjo's heavily worked BN5 that I thought you'd dig. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Very cool BNF and thread idea. It is definitely a neck through and if you ever pull your pickups out, pm me the serial # and I can give you a little history behind her...as well as the wood used under that solid finish. I noticed you're in NY, if you ever travel a little up north we'd be happy...

Wow that is one special BN5. I never had the pleasure of meeting Adrian but my father always speaks highly of him. Good luck with the sale and lets hope it goes to a good home. I found the original photo and it's clearly free of any photoshop lines. Speaking of different forms of Canadian...

Oh yea, there's a sea of knowledge in these forums. I'll be sure to add the thread slip remedy to our FAQ's page very soon.

    Club Fbass (Part 10!)

Hey Dylan, Our BNs have a thin to medium neck profile and the VFs sit between a C and V shape. The ability to set up really low (with no fret buzz) is also what makes our basses "fast". That being said, some owners request a slightly different neck shape when ordering. Due to the...

So happy to hear you love your new BN6 Yohann and thank you for putting your spin on it...the richness/fullness in tone on this beast was unreal. The added wood mass really beefed up the higher strings too. Wish we had more control over UPS but I apologize for the heartache they put you through.
