Mine looks like this. I think it's because they used two bridge pickups (they're supposed to be different sizes). Measure them and see if they're the same.
Blend full, treble all off, bass 9 o'clock, drive 11 o'clock to 1 o'clock, presence a little less than noon. Great punchy tone. I don't hear any mid-scoop with this setting and my p bass.
I have lately been using the "fliptop" setting (bass and treble all the way down, presence at noon) and I've found it to be very transparent, but warm. All my basses are passive, though, so that might have something to do with it.
I always do index, ring, ring. I'm kind of surprised that not everyone does. (not because there's anything wrong with other methods, I've just never considered anything else)
